Q: How much does it cost to register a domain name? A:
$12 - $50 per year.
Q: Should we have our own domain name? A:
There are two primarily reasons why it is a good idea to secure your own domain, ie:
http://www.yourname.com/
First, with your own domain name you can switch Web Site Hosting Companys at will and still retain the same unique Internet web site address (URL) and email address you use in all your literature and advertising. Secondly, it is easier for customers and clients to remember your URL if the spelling of your domain name refers in some way to your organization.
A perfectly workable alternative is to have your organization's web site hosted by your internet service provider. Most providers provide a minimum sized free web hosting service included along with your Internet Access. AOL offers all members 7 email addresses and 7 web sites included with their membreship. If your email address at aol were rtz@aol.com your, your unique URL would be http://members.aol.com. ATT Worldnet also offers free web hosting to all their Internet Access customers. If your email address were rtz@worldnet.att.net your web sites unique URL would be http://worldnet.att.net/rtz or http://rtz.worldnet.att.net.
If we obtain your domain name for you, for a small additional fee we can have a custom domain name connected to the free web space provided by most internet providers along with your internet access account.

(.com, .net, .org, .cc, etc) Domain registration fees are paid to the InterNIC. When we design or host your site we give you an option of registering or transferring your domain yourself or letting us handle it.

Certainly we can register your domain for you. We can perform the smallest or largest services for you.
Q: Can I change the content of my web site? A:
Absolutely. Although we will be happy to maintain your web site for you, there is a charge for this, and you can save yourself some money by doing your own updates. You can use your own personal password to access your site and make changes much like you make changes in a word processor document. In most sites we strive to separate the text from the Graphical Shell of the web site so the text in the web site doesn't contain any HTML and can be edited by ordinary people who are not fluent in HTML. |
